Christina Fernandez

President

Experienced, trustworthy and driven. These are just a few of the ways to describe this invaluable member of our team. Christina Fernandez was part of this organization from the very beginning and has truly helped develop and maintain this organization with great integrity.

Well known in our community for her time at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, she continues to make an impact by volunteering at the Infant of Prague Thrift Store and Richlands Little League. Always willing to help where the need is, we are grateful to have her with us.

Mildred Latino-Thomas

Vice President

Mildred Latino-Thomas joined the Onslow Hispanic Latino Association with the vision and drive to improve our non-profit organization and she has done just that. She has focused on pushing this organization to keep going and finding new ways to positively impact our local community.

When she is not with us, she works as a full-time bilingual real estate agent. She also serves on various boards for other local organizations and in her spare time volunteers. She is an Onslow County resident of 10 years, a wife and mother to three beautiful children.

Cynthia Figueroa

Treasurer

A well-respected member of the Onslow Hispanic Latino Association team, Cynthia Figueroa is one of our founding members and has played a vital role in shaping our organization.

She brings years of experience in serving our local community not only in our organization all these years but also as Jacksonville Police Department’s first civilian Victim’s  Advocate. Likewise before moving to Jacksonville in 2005 to assist her son, who was in the Marine Corps, and his wife, who was expecting their second child, she was a retired NYPD officer. Helping people is simply part of her DNA.
